A residential Professional Organizer is a professional who works with clients in their homes to help them take control of their time and space. We listen to the needs of our clients, develop a plan and keep the organizing project on track. We facilitate the processes of sorting, organizing, deciding, and storing. We teach skills and strategies so that clients can maintain the improvements. How do I know you are the right Professional Organizer for me?
We offer two opportunities for you to get to know us. First, we offer a FREE 30 minute phone consultation where you describe your situation and ask questions about how we work. Second, you may set up a low cost, in-home meeting that typically lasts about an hour. This meeting is an opportunity to meet in person, show the areas that need to be organized, ask more questions and receive a verbal assessment including tips and ideas. The minimal charge for this initial assessment is refundable when you book a three hour session. Meeting in person can make you feel at ease and help you decide whether you would feel comfortable working with us.

What can I expect when an organizer comes to my home?
At the beginning, we ask lots of questions about your space and your goals, your needs and expectations, your past history of organization, your family situation, and your preferred learning method. We are not being nosy but we use this information in order to create a customized plan to help you get to where you want to go. Using this information we create a project management plan as a road map for achieving your goals. Then we schedule visits for specific tasks until goals are met. The first working visit will focus on a simple, achievable area. A client can expect this first visit to proceed a bit more slowly than subsequent visits as client and organizer get to know each other. As we begin to sort and establish storage systems, the client/organizer rapport also develops. Once the relationship is established results appear more quickly. Regular weekly or biweekly visits are common and desirable for large goals such as organizing a whole house or for extremely cluttered areas or tight schedules as in moving.
